Billy King, ESM’s President, is a 19-year NBA front office veteran, who most recently served as the General Manager of the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets from 2010 to 2016. He is currently a Studio Analyst for NBA TV. He was an executive for the Philadelphia 76ers for a decade, serving as Vice President of Basketball Operations from 1997 to 1998, General Manager from 1998 to 2007, and President from 2003 to 2007. Before to joining the front office, King was an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers under head coach Larry Brown, and for Illinois State University under head coach Bob Bender. He played collegiately at Duke University and served as a captain of a Blue Devils team that reached the Final Four of the 1988 NCAA Tournament.
